In the process of paper surface gypsum board production, Modified starch is one of necessary additives. Main function of Modified starch is to ensure gypsum board core and protective paper sticking together effectively and to increase board strength at the same time.

Modified starch is made from natural corn starch whose attribute is changed in physical, chemical or enzyme reactoins and is widely used in papermaking, textile, foodstaff, construction material and other industries.
